Step into the world of music with Lubov Alvei—an award-winning piano teacher and composer who brings out the best in every student. With warmth, patience, and deep expertise, she helps young musicians grow in skill and confidence, turning piano lessons into a joyful and inspiring experience.

About Lubov

Lubov Alvei (formerly Berenson) is a dynamic force in the world of music education—an award-winning composer, master teacher, and inspiring mentor whose students shine on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and major venues across Europe. With deep expertise in piano, voice, music theory, composition, and musical theater, her students consistently earn top honors at international competitions such as The Most Wanted Piano Vision Competition, The Golden Key Festival, and the World Piano Pedagogy Conference.

Her journey began with early acceptance into the elite, highly selective training program at the Gnessin Institute of Music in Moscow, renowned for cultivating exceptional musical talent. She later graduated from the Moscow University of Culture, grounding her artistry in both classical rigor and creative innovation.

Over decades of teaching, Lubov Alvei has developed her own powerful musical philosophy—a deeply intuitive and student-centered method that unlocks each child’s full potential. She believes that every student holds unique artistic gifts, and her teaching nurtures not only skill and technique but also confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Her approach opens doors, empowering children to connect with music on the highest level and shine in their own way.

Lubov’s visionary style first took shape when she co-founded "Art-Mosaic", a pioneering children’s music and theater studio in post-Soviet Russia. Since 1994, her work in the United States has continued through her thriving private studio and her close collaboration with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)—the world’s leading authority in structured music education. Through this globally respected curriculum, she guides students toward lasting achievement, excellence, and recognition.

She has further expanded her reach through advanced studies in musical theater composition at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, under the mentorship of renowned composer Michael Wartofsky.

At every stage of her career, Lubov Alvei’s mission remains clear: to bring the joy and power of music into children’s lives, cultivate their abilities with care and mastery, and help them grow into confident, expressive, and accomplished young artists.
